Inside Our Outdoors: Detroit RiverWalk to expand after successful river remediation
The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy is poised to begin construction on a new segment of its Detroit RiverWalk.
The final plan concentrates on strategies for revitalizing, greening, and connecting the riverfront. The current RiverWalk will be extended along the water’s edge to create a continuous park between Cobo Hall and Belle Isle. The number of parks and open spaces in the district will be doubled making them accessible to all Detroiters.
